CLEARSEAL - EXTERNAL WATERPROOF LIQUID

Product Information & Application Guide

EUROFLEX Clearseal is a top quality, external, waterproofing liquid silicone that provides buildings with protection against water and dirt, also face spalling through frost damage.

An application of EUROFLEX Clearseal enables rain to run off treated surfaces. When completely cured it is impossible to detect where EUROFLEX Clearseal has been applied unless comparison is made during wet weather.

Surfaces

EUROFLEX Clearseal penetrates the surface treated, lining the pores giving excellent water repelling properties. Once coated, the surface is still able to breathe and expel any moisture vapour trapped at the time of application. EUROFLEX Clearseal can be used on all masonry, brick, stone, concrete, cement and asbestos, providing the surface has sufficient absorbency.

EUROFLEX Clearseal can last for ten years and in some cases considerably longer.

Preparation

The surface to be treated should be dry and thoroughly brushed down to remove atmospheric dirt and efflorescence. Wash down with plain water if required (detergents should not be used). Finally make good any unsound surfaces, joints and wide cracks (but not hair cracks).

Application

Apply generously with brush or spray gun. Avoid excess pressure if a spray gun is used as this results in heavy misting. Care must be taken not to inhale vapour. Remove any splashes, which may fall on glass, etc. as they may be difficult to remove when dry.

An average coverage of 40m per 5 litres may be obtained but this varies considerably with the type of surface to be covered.

Storage

Store at normal room temperature. Shelf life at least one year in unopened container.

Health & Safety

Gloves and eye shields should be worn when using and vapours should not be inhaled.
